Planetary Hours methodology

See the current or selected planetary hour and a full local schedule.

What it calculates

See the current or selected planetary hour and a full local schedule.

How it works

Sea-level sunrise/sunset from Astronomy Engine, including standard atmospheric refraction and the solar upper limb. Divide sunrise→sunset and sunset→next sunrise into 12 equal elapsed-time intervals each. Sequence Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, Moon; first hour uses weekday ruler. A planetary day starts at sunrise. No fabricated polar-day schedule.
