What is Part of Fortune?

It is a calculated point in a birth chart. Unlike a planet, it has no physical position in the sky: this version combines the Ascendant, Moon and Sun longitudes into one zodiac position.

How AncientIQ calculates it

Part of Fortune = Ascendant + Moon − Sun, normalized to 0–360°. Engine 0.1.0 uses the same formula for day and night births, a tropical zodiac and geocentric planetary positions. The result includes whole-sign house context and major aspects.

Historical context

Questions about this calculator

Do I need an exact birth time?

Enter local time to the nearest minute. The Ascendant depends on the date, time and location, so an uncertain time also makes this result uncertain. This version does not estimate a missing birth time.

What do degrees and houses mean?

Each zodiac sign covers 30°. Degrees locate the point inside that sign. A whole-sign house locates it relative to the sign containing the Ascendant.

Is this a prediction of wealth or good luck?

No. The calculation locates a chart point. The modern reading offers symbolic prompts for reflection; it does not predict wealth or events.

Which dates and places are supported?

Gregorian years 1800–2100 and latitudes between 65° south and 65° north. For a repeated local clock time, provide its correct UTC offset in the calculation settings.
